OMAHA, Neb. -- Junior Sam Crowley of the Creighton softball team has been named to the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-District VII Softball First Team.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Crowley will move on to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team Ballot where All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
Crowley owns 33 starts in the outfield for the Bluejays and has played in 42 games overall this season. She claims a .221 batting average in 86 at-bats, and is hitting .
