Dallas, Texas -- The Creighton Rowing squad opened up its 2018 spring season falling to SMU in all three races on Friday, March 9.
Originally scheduled for Saturday, March 10 the Bluejays race with the Mustangs was moved to Friday due to weather concerns.
"Today was the culmination of a hard week of training. We competed hard against a very tough SMU team," said Creighton head coach Dan Chipps. "I'm proud of the way we rowed today and am excited to get back to Omaha to prepare for Alabama."
The Bluejays return to action on Saturday, March 24 as Creighton competes with Alabama, Dayton and Jacksonville in the Crimson Tide Invitational.
