Queens, N.Y. – Sophomore Emma Rosonke went 4-for-4 from the plate and drove in four runs as the Creighton softball team claimed a 7-1 victory over St. John's on Friday afternoon at Red Storm Field. Friday's win was the Bluejays first win in Queens, N.Y. since defeating St. John's 4-0 on April 27, 2014, the Bluejays first year in the BIG EAST.
The Bluejays improve to 14-12 on the year and 4-4 in BIG EAST play with the win, while St. John's falls to 6-24 overall and 1-9 in conference action.
The Bluejays opened the scoring in the top of the third inning with three runs on just two hits but earned three walks during the frame.
