Omaha, Neb. -- Freshman Alan Roden claimed his first BIG EAST Player of the Week honor of the season as the Wisconsin native was 5-for-7 with a pair of home runs and five RBI in the Bluejays sweep of Butler this weekend.
Limited to just a doubleheader on Saturday by rain, Roden was dominant posting a 1.571 slugging percentage, a .778 on-base percentage and a .714 average. In addition to his five hits, Roden collected a pair of walks and two stolen bases. In Creighton's 11-10 victory in the first game of the doubleheader, Roden went 2-for-3 and scoring three runs.
