NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Creighton senior Rachel Grenko has been named the BIG EAST Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Thursday.
Grenko tied for 15th place (of 72) at the Loyola Fall Invitational after three straight rounds of 79. Her 15th place finish was her best placing in 14 career competitions at CU. Highlighting the Sioux City native's performance was a hole-in-one on the 150-yard second hole in her opening round, the first by a Bluejay in competition since 2008.
Creighton's fourth-place finish (of 12) as a team was its best team finish in a meet with 10 or more teams since 2006.
