The Creighton men’s basketball team returned to the CHI Health Center Omaha on Wednesday night after a loss at St. John’s on Sunday. The Bluejays rebounded nicely, rolling over Georgetown, 91-76.
The “Birds of Trey” – Marcus Zegarowski (20), Ty-Shon Alexander (18), and Mitch Ballock (20) – combined to score 58 points themselves in the victory. The Bluejays shot 17-of-36 from three while Creighton ran circles around the shorthanded Hoyas. Denzel Mahoney chipped in 14 points of his own. Kelvin Jones provided energy off the bench to put up 7 points and grab 6 rebounds, while Zegarowski and Shereef Mitchell combined for 14 assists and one turnover.
