Marcus Zegarowski scored a team high 23 points on Saturday to lead six Bluejays in double figures, as the Creighton men’s basketball team took down St. John’s 94-82. The win puts the Bluejays into second place in the Big East race.
Creighton started out hot early from the field to get an early lead in the first half. While St. John’s inched back into the game at times, the Bluejays had answers and went into the half up 10 points, 47-37.
In the second half, the Red Storm was pushing even closer as they were able to get the lead down to two points a few different times, including the Jays clinging to a 62-60 lead with 11:18 to go in the game.
