The Creighton men’s basketball team made an extreme effort to right the ship after Wednesday’s beat down by St. John’s. They hit the post early, played hard defense, and everything went right on Sunday as the Bluejays blew past Xavier, 76-54 at the CHI Health Center Omaha.
Martin Krampelj was the focus early for the Bluejays and he took advantage of the Musketeers defense. He scored a game high 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting while grabbing 6 boards, getting 4 steals, 2 assists and going 7-of-7 from the free throw line. The Bluejays didn’t even shoot a 3-pointer until more than ten minutes into the game.
