After an emotional week, the Creighton men’s basketball team returned home to the CHI Health Center to finish the regular season. The Bluejays were without their head coach, but came out with a solid, dominating win over Butler, 93-73.
Al Huss was named the interim head coach of the Bluejays on Thursday night as head coach Greg McDermott was indefinitely suspended from team activities following an insensitive statement made to the team last Saturday after the loss to Xavier.
The Bluejays got things going early behind the play of Marcus Zegarowski as Mitch Ballock, Denzel Mahoney, Damien Jefferson, and Jacob Epperson were assumed to be playing their last game at CHI Health Center.
