Box Score 1 EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Senior Madeline Vejvoda recorded a career-high tying three hits and three RBI in a 13-1 win over Loyola Chicago, while sophomore Lily West collect a career-high four hits, four runs and three RBI as the Creighton softball team earned a 16-8 victory over St. Thomas to open the Cougar Invite on Saturday afternoon.
The pair of victories lifted the Bluejays to 10-5 on the season, while Loyola Chicago and St. Thomas fell to 6-8 and 2-16 overall.

Creighton opened the day with a 7-0 victory over Loyola Chicago, scoring one in the first, four in the fifth, two in the sixth and six more in the seventh, while sophomore Natalia Puchino struck out six in five innings of work to record her sixth win of the season.
