Omaha, Neb. -- After leading the Bluejay Baseball program to a 4-1 mark last week, Creighton junior Nolan Sailors earned the BIG EAST Player of the Week on Monday, April 8.
Sailors closed the week 10-for-21 (.476) with nine RBI and five runs scored, guiding Crieghtont to four wins including a 5-3 win over #24 Nebraska on April 2. In the Bluejays' three-game series with Butler to open BIG EAST action Sailors went 5-for-12 (.417) with five RBI and three runs scored. Pushed into the leadoff and center field role for the final two games with Butler, Nolan was a catalyst atop the Creighton lineup, reaching base in eight of his 11 trips to the plate.
