OMAHA, Neb. – Valerie Negin was named unanimously BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-BIG EAST and junior Kate Krueger earned her second straight all-conference selection by earning First Team All-BIG EAST honors on Thursday, May 5. The selections were made by the league's head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own players.
Negin earned the Bluejays first ever Freshman of the Year honor while becoming just the second freshman in school history to earn all-conference honors, joining Kristen Baird's singles All-Conference honors in 1993.
