OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton women's tennis sophomore Michaela Henne earned BIG EAST Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week honors, the league announced on Wednesday morning.
Henne finished the Bluejays' spring break trip in Orlando, Fla. with a perfect 4-0 record in singles play and 3-1 performance in doubles action, while the team finished 3-1 overall.
The sophomore holds a seven-match winning streak in singles action and leads Creighton with a 10-3 singles record. She has dropped only one set during her winning streak. The Kansas City, Mo. native is 7-6 in doubles play, including 6-4 with senior Katherine Nelsen.
