OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton men's tennis team earned the No. 5 seed for the 2019 BIG EAST Championships presented by Jeep in Cayce, South Carolina. The Bluejays will meet fourth-seeded DePaul during Friday's quarterfinal round at the Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center.
Creighton ended its regular season slate with two consecutive wins to push its record to 9-9, including a 1-2 mark against BIG EAST competition. DePaul heads to South Carolina with a 10-13 record (4-3 BIG EAST). The Blue Demons earned a 4-3 win against the Bluejays earlier this year in Chicago.
Mac Mease leads the Bluejays with 22 victories.
