OMAHA, Neb. – The Creighton men's tennis team closed the regular season with a 6-1 victory over Doane on Friday at the Hanscom Tennis Center. The Bluejays also celebrated the accomplishments of their two seniors: Jose Oscar Diaz and Stratton Brown.
Creighton improved to 8-9 this season with the win, while Doane fell to 8-5 on the year.
"It was a solid match to end the regular season," said head coach Tom Lilly. "Stratton competed but didn't have his A game and his strong forehand let him down too many times against a player who was doing a lot of good things and playing well.
