IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The Creighton men's tennis team opened the 2017 campaign with a 7-0 loss at Iowa on Saturday night.
The Hawkeyes took early control of the match with the doubles point and a trio of 6-1 victories. Josh Silverstein and Lefteris Theordorou defeated Harrison Lang and Brooks Kendall in the No. 1 doubles match, Michael Koch and Mac Mease fell in the No. 3 slot to Robin Haden and Jake Jacoby, and Aaron Chalstrom and Armando Gandini fell to Kareem Allaf and Jonas Larsen.
