OMAHA, Neb. – Sven Koenig scored a pair of goals as the Creighton men's soccer team defeated Nebraska-Omaha 2-1 on Saturday night at Caniglia Field during the Bluejays' first exhibition match of the season.
Koenig's first goal came during the 47th minute. With the Bluejays trailing 1-0, the senior forward slotted the ball into the back of the net from the left side of the 18-yard box to knot the match at 1-1 less than three minutes into the second half.
During the 87th minute, newcomer Younes Boudadi sent a through ball along the right side of the pitch before Koenig recovered the ball and found the back of the net.
