OMAHA, Neb. – The Creighton men's soccer team scored a pair goals to defeat Memphis 2-0 at Morrison Stadium as part of Friday night's Socctoberfest.
The Bluejays improved to 3-1-1, while the Tigers fell to 2-2-1.
Luke Haakenson scored Creighton's first goal of the match during the 62nd minute. Akeem Ward sent a long ball to Haakenson down the left side of the pitch where he controlled the ball and headed towards the end line. Haakenson kept the ball in bounds and sped past a Memphis defender before sending the ball into the back of the net.
