OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton Men's Soccer has promoted Mitch Kavanagh from a volunteer assistant to the team's assistant coach and technical coordinator, head coach Johnny Torres announced on Monday, July 10th.
Kavanagh has spent the past five seasons as a volunteer assistant at CU, helping the Bluejays to the 2018 BIG EAST title in his first year and a College Cup appearance last fall. All told Creighton has gone 47-30-13 in five seasons with Kavanagh on the sidelines, including a 5-2-0 mark in NCAA Tournament action.
He was a part of the BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year in 2018 as the Bluejays claimed their first BIG EAST regular-season title since 2014.
