Men's Soccer Falls 3-2 In Overtime at Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Creighton men's soccer team fell 3-2 in overtime to Providence on Saturday afternoon in Rhode Island.

The Bluejays moved to 3-4-0 in BIG EAST play and 7-6-1 overall, while the Friars improved to 4-3-0 during league action and 10-5-0 overall.

Providence converted the golden goal during the 98th minute to end the match.

Saturday marked the third consecutive overtime match between the Bluejays and Friars. Creighton and Providence played scoreless draws during both 2018 and 2017.

Yudai Tashiro tallied his first career multi-goal match as a Bluejay with a pair of goals on free kicks.
