PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Charlie Zielinski tied for 16th place to lead the Creighton men's golf team to a seventh-place finish at the GCU Invitational on Tuesday.
A junior from Omaha, Zielinski shot a pair of 70s on Monday before closing with a 72 on Tuesday for a 1-under 212 aggregate. The 2022 U.S. Amateur qualifier extended his streak of rounds of 79 or lower to 69 in a row.
Junior Shaun Campbell was the opposite of Zielinski, firing consecutive 72's before concluding with a 70 in the final round for a 214 total that tied him for 24th.
