LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Creighton men's cross country team placed 10th while the women took 12th at the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invitational on Saturday morning in Lincoln, Neb.
The Bluejay men were paced by junior Marcos Gonzalez, who finished 26th with a time of 25:05.65. That was 18 seconds better than his time last year, when he placed 33rd in the same event.
Ryan Montera ranked 81st with 2,000 meters to go before a strong finishing kick helped the sophomore take 65th place. He crossed the finish line in 25:51.
