Men's Basketball To Host Nebraska-Omaha on Dec. 1

OMAHA, Neb. -- Men's Basketball head coach Greg McDermott announced that Creighton's 2020-21 home-opener will take place on Tuesday, December 1 when the Bluejays host Nebraska-Omaha.

It'll be the 44th all-time regular-season meeting between the schools, but first in the regular-season since November 30, 1995 (a 74-71 CU win). Creighton leads the all-time series 40-3, with Omaha's last win in the series coming on Dec. 11, 1982. The teams have never competed against each other in a game that counted as Division I competitors.

The Bluejays and Mavericks have met seven times in exhibition play since that 1995 match-up, most recently a 96-67 Creighton win in an October 26, 2017 exhibition game that benefited the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund.
