OMAHA, Neb. – Ryan Kalkbrenner has signed a letter-of-intent with the Creighton University men's basketball program. Kalkbrenner is a 7-foot center from Trinity Catholic High School in St. Louis, Mo., who chose the Bluejays over offers from the likes of Purdue, Kansas and Stanford among others.
"Ryan fits everything we look for in the center position." said Creighton head coach Greg McDermott. "He has the mobility to run the floor and put pressure on the rim, yet the skill level to stretch the defense with the three-point shot. In addition, he will bring elite rim protection to our defensive scheme.
