Men's Basketball Falls in Overtime at Xavier, 64-61

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Creighton had three shots in the final 10 seconds to tie it, but could not drain the game-tying three-pointer and fell 64-61 in overtime at Xavier on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Naji Marshall scored 10 of his team-high 23 points in the final 6:32 to help defending BIG EAST champion Xavier snap a six-game losing streak and improve to 12-13 (4-8 BIG EAST). Creighton dropped to 13-12 (4-8 BIG EAST) with its third loss in as many games on an extended road trip.

Xavier took a 36-30 lead into the halftime break, scoring 24 points in the paint and outrebounding the Bluejays 22-15 while also swatting six first half shots from CU.
