Charlotte, N.C. -- The Creighton men's basketball saw its 2017-18 season come to a close on Sunday, March 16 as the Bluejays fell to Kansas State 69-59 in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
The loss moved Creighton to 22-12, while Kansas State moves on to the Second Round with a mark of 23-11.
Things started slowly for the Bluejays as Creighton trailed Kansas State 10-2 just under four minutes into the contest (16:11). Trailing 15-7 moments later (13:30), back-to-back buckets from Khyri Thomas and a trey by Toby Hegner brought the Bluejays within one possession at 15-12 with 11:18 on the clock.
