Omaha, Neb. -- Coming off a pair of impressive wins over Oakland (6-0 on Aug. 25) and Rutgers (6-1 on Aug. 28) to start the 2022 season, Creighton junior Duncan McGuire and sophomore Mark O'Neill collected individual recognition, claiming the BIG EAST's Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards on Monday, Aug. 29.
McGuire rounded out a record setting weekend with five goals and one assist in two matches to lead the nation in points (11) and goals scored (5). In the season opener McGuire set the facility record at Morrison Stadium with seven points on three goals and one assist in Creighton's 6-0 win over Oakland.
