Bluejays toss 8.2 innings of scoreless in win
OMAHA, Neb. – Sophomore Cade Lommel and junior Marc Lidd tossed 8.2 innings of scoreless relief, giving the Bluejays time to rally as the Creighton baseball team defeated Minnesota 4-2 to complete the weekend sweep over the Golden Gophers on Sunday afternoon at Charles Schwab Field Omaha.
The win lifts Creighton to 9-6 on the year, while Minnesota falls to 5-15 overall.
Minnesota jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and chased Bluejay starter Hudson Leach after just three batters in the top the first.
