PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. -- Freshmen Katherine Lemke and Eleanor Hudepohl helped the Creighton women's golf team to second place after the first round of the BIG EAST Championship, presented by JEEP. Lemke shot a 3-under 69 and is tied for the lead, while Hudepohl fired a 76 and is tied for 11th place.
Lemke had four birdies (4, 5, 9 and 16) and owned the outright lead for parts of her BIG EAST Championship debut. Her 69 matched her season-low (also Sept. 21) and made her the lone Bluejay in the past 20 years with multiple rounds below 70.
