WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Creighton had five men score in double-figures but it wasn't enough as Creighton dropped a 74-73 decision to Georgetown on Tuesday night at Verizon Center. The Hoyas ended the game on a 15-3 run in the final 2:16.
Creighton fell to 14-7 on the year and is 5-3 in the BIG EAST, while Georgetown moved to 13-8 and is 5-2 in league play.
Creigthon broke free from a close first half that featured 11 lead changes with a 10-0 burst that gave the Bluejays a 31-24 lead. Georgetown answered with the final eight points of the frame to take the one-point lead into the locker room.
