Omaha, Neb. -- Senior Sydney Lamberty capped a 3-0 week for Creighton women's basketball by earning the BIG EAST Player of the Week on Monday, Jan. 29th. Lamberty led Creighton to overtime wins at Xavier (Jan. 22) and again at home over Seton Hall on Jan. 28. She also guided the Bluejays to a victory over St. John's on Friday, Jan. 26.
During the week Lamberty averaged a double-double with 16.3 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game. She also dished out 17 assists and shot 58.1% (18-of-31) from the field. The senior's rebounding mark was tops in the BIG EAST last week, while her assists average listed second and scoring was fifth.
