OMAHA, Neb. – Bluejay junior Kenzie Schopfer's dominant effort in the BIG EAST opener against St. John's on Friday, March 8th earned her BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week honors, the league announced on Monday, March 11.
This marks the first BIG EAST weekly honor of Schopfer's career, while she is the second Bluejay pitcher this season to claim BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week accolades, joining sophomore Natalia Puchino.
In her only appearance of the week, Schopfer fired a complete game shutout to earn her first win of the season.
