OMAHA, Neb. -- Kate Mason has signed on to join the Creighton Softball program. A pitcher/utility player, Mason is a 2020 graduate of Catalina Foothills High School in Tucson, Ariz.
Mason hit .385 in 95 games during her prep career for the Falcons, including 28 extra-base hits. She batted .330 as a freshman, .473 as a sophomore and .391 as a junior before wrapping up with a .286 average, She produced a career OPS of .980, including a career-high mark of 1.170 during her sophomore campaign. Mason also stole 13 bases in 14 career attempts and did not commit an error in 12 games of her shortened senior season.
