OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton sophomore Kate Krueger earned the first BIG EAST Female Tennis Athlete of the Honor, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The Omaha native has helped the Bluejays start the 2021 season with a 3-1 record. Krueger holds a 3-1 singles record and a 3-1 mark at No. 1 doubles while pairing with Sarah Wilcox.
Krueger's doubles victories against Missouri State (Feb. 7) and Wyoming (Feb. 20) each clinched the doubles point for Creighton. Krueger and Wilcox have combined for three consecutive wins this season wins in 12 of their Iast 13 matches dating back to last season.
