STORRS, Conn. – Junior Kailey Wilson finished the day 3-for-3 but the Creighton softball team was unable to overcome an early deficit as the Bluejays fell 7-3 to UConn on Saturday night at Burrill Family Field in Storrs, Conn.
The Bluejays fall to 14-16 on the year and 4-8 in BIG EAST play, while UConn improved to 23-13 overall and 12-2 in conference action.
UConn struck first with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning. Briana Marcelino reached on a single and stole second before Reese Guevarra drew a walk.
