OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton Volleyball's Jaela Zimmerman has been named an Honorable Mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
The junior from Lincoln, Neb., led CU with 3.45 kills per set and shared the team lead with 15 aces. She was also second on the club with 2.71 digs per set. Zimmerman was a three-time BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week and also brought home BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week acclaim once. Three weeks ago Zimmerman was named All-BIG EAST for the second straight season, and last week she was honored as the AVCA East Region Player of the Year.
