SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Creighton Men's Tennis senior Matthew Lanahan and junior Alejandro Gandini advanced to the Round of 16 of the ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego, Calif. on Wednesday afternoon.
The dynamic duo advanced to Sweet 16 after picking up a 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) straight-sets win over Old Dominion's Jakob Cadonau and Cosme Rolland De Ravel. With the win, Lanahan and Gandini advance to play TCU's Duncan Chan and Lui Maxted in the Round of 16 on Thursday afternoon.
Lanahan and Gandini soared out to a 4-0 lead in the opening set before Cadonau and Rolland De Ravel rallied to even the match at 4-4.
