Brookings, S.D. -- An early goal from senior Kaira Houser was all the Bluejay defense needed as Creighton closed its marathon five-match road trip with a 1-0 win over South Dakota State on Sunday, Sept. 2.
The win moved Creighton to 2-3-0 on the season, while the Jackrabbits fell to 3-3-0 overall.
"Coming into this match I was very proud of our leadership group. I saw in warm-up that our focus was as good as it's been all season," said head coach Ross Paule. "It was a match that we dictated the flow.
