Omaha, Neb. -- Junior Jake Holton put a bow on a monster weekend as the California native claimed the BIG EAST Player of the Week honor on Monday, Feb. 25th.
Creighton's junior designated hitter led the Bluejays to a 2-1 showing at the Lake Area Classic in Louisiana. Holton hit .500 (6-for-12) with three home runs, eight RBI and a triple. He scored five runs and finished the 2-1 weekend with a 1.417 slugging percentage, collecting 17 total bases. Jake blasted two home runs in Creighton's 11-7 comeback win at McNeese State on Saturday night.
