OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton Volleyball middle blocker Naomi Hickman was named the BIG EAST's Defensive Player of the Week after helping Bluejays to a pair of wins and a league-record eighth straight regular-season title.
Hickman averaged 2.20 blocks per set to key a Bluejay defense that held foes to 6.83 kills per set and a collective -.005 hitting in 192 swings.
The MVP of the 2020 BIG EAST Championship had three blocks and three kills on .250 hitting in a win on Friday vs. Seton Hall. Hickman then had a match-high and season-high eight blocks and added five kills and a dig to avenge an October loss to St.
