SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Margaret Hickey opened her junior season with a tie for sixth place to help the Creighton women's golf team take sixth in the team standings at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial, which concluded on Tuesday.
Hickey, who owned one previous round of 73 in her first two seasons as a Bluejay, shot a 73 in both the first and third rounds. Her 75 in the second round contributed to her 221 aggregate that is tied for the second-best total by a Bluejay in a 54-hole competition since 2003, one shot behind a 220 fired by Katie Allen in March at the Red Rocks Invitational.
