Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton women's soccer freshman Skylar Heinrich (Omaha, Neb.) earned some well deserved recognition on Monday, Sept. 9 as the Bluejay forward was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week as well as the Freshman of the Week.
Heinrich led Creighton to a 2-0-0 week (Sept. 2-8) with five goals, including a pair of game-winners. Down 1-0 on Sunday, Sept. 8 versus Eastern Michigan, Heinrich entered the match in the 20th minute and was more than instant offense as the Bluejays scored on a corner to knot the match at 1-1.
