OMAHA, Neb. -- For the first time in school history, the Creighton Cross Country program has qualified an individual for the NCAA Championship, as junior Emily Martin was selected to race for the national title on November 18th.
Martin finished eighth out of 225 runners on Friday at the NCAA Regional meet at Iowa State Cross Country Course in Ames, Iowa, tying the school-record in the 6,000 meters with a time of 20:22.8.
The junior from St. Charles, Ill., got confirmation on Saturday of her at-large selection to the field as an individual.
