In her 33rd year at Creighton and her 26th year in the Athletic Department, executive assistant Patty Galas proves she’s more than just a welcoming face when walking into the Championship Center.
An assistant to men’s basketball coach Greg McDermott and Athletic Director Bruce Rasmussen, Galas has been, and continues to be, well connected with Creighton athletics for many years.
“My husband Ray had attended Creighton and had season tickets. We went to all the men’s basketball games. It was his love of Creighton basketball that got me excited about the team,” she said. “When the position became open to be the assistant to Coach [Dana] Altman, I jumped at the opportunity.
