CHICAGO, Ill. -- Marcus Foster's three-pointer 14.4 seconds left proved to be the difference as Creighton overcame a 10-point deficit to post a 76-75 win at DePaul on Wednesday. The bucket gave Foster exactly 2,000 points in his college career, including 1,125 at Creighton.
Creighton improved to 18-6 with the win and is 8-4 in BIG EAST play after its seventh straight win over DePaul. DePaul fell to 9-14 and is 2-9 in league play.
Creighton took an early 9-5 lead after seven straight points from Marcus Foster and the Jays led 14-11 before a pair of dunks by Max Strus kick-started a 9-0 Blue Demons run that gave DePaul the lead for the rest of the half.
