SAN MARCOS, Texas -- A five-run fifth inning guide the Creighton softball team to a 5-2 victory over UTSA on Saturday night during the second day of the Texas State Tournament in San Marcos, Texas.
With the win the Bluejays improved to 2-1 on the season, while the Roadrunners fell to 0-5 overall.
Creighton's earned her second win of the season after allowing just one run on three hits while striking out six batters in five innings of work. Junior transfer also struck out four batters and allowed just two hits and one unearned run in two innings of work.
