OMAHA, Neb. -- Daniel Espeleta found the back of the net during the 86th minute to help the Creighton men's soccer team earn a 1-0 victory over Marquette on Friday in Milwaukee during the BIG EAST opener for both squads.
Espeleta received a pass near the middle of the 18-yard box from Younes Boudadi before sending the ball past the Marquette goalkeeper for the sophomore's first career goal. Dominic Briggs also earned an assist on the play with a pass down the right side of the box to Boudadi before the cross to Espeleta.
