NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- A record-setting performance from junior Emily Martin helped the Creighton women's cross country team take fifth place overall in the Women's 5K Gold race at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational on Friday at the Notre Dame Golf Course. The Bluejay team was able to just beat out Iowa by one point for fifth place and were just five points behind Idaho State for fourth.
Northern Iowa claimed first place with a score of 86 with Temple following behind it with a score of 137. Saint Louis rounded out the top three with a 186.
