Carmel, Ind. -- The Creighton men's and women's cross country teams kicked off their postseason schedules on Saturday with a pair of eighth-place finishes at the BIG EAST Championships, presented by Jeep, which took place at the Northview Church Course in Carmel, Ind.
The Bluejay teams ran a pair of young line-ups on the day, racing eight freshmen, five sophomores, four juniors and no seniors among its 17 competitors.
The women's team finished in eighth out of 10 teams with a team score of 238 in the 6K race. The Bluejays finished ahead of ninth place Seton Hall who scored a 251 and finished behind seventh place DePaul who scored a 232.
