PEORIA, Ill. -- The Creighton women's cross country team placed 22nd and the men took 25th place at the Bradley "Pink" Classic on Friday in Peoria, Ill.. The event served as Creighton's final tune-up prior to the BIG EAST Championships, which are two weeks away.
Danielle Hotalling paced the Bluejay women with a 25th place finish, crossing the finish line in a time of 21:35.4 It was the 18th time in as many collegiate starts that she's been Creighton's top finisher. That time put her exactly one minute behind Wichita State's Yazmine Wright, who topped the field of 286 runners by just over four seconds.
